Osyron is a Canadian progressive symphonic metal band featuring powerful lyrics, complex melodies, and soaring clean vocals with well-placed contrasting vocal styles. Originally formed in 2012, the current lineup of vocalist Reed Alton, guitarists Krzysztof Stalmach (Solar Guitars) and Bobby Harley (Solar Guitars), bassist Tyler Corbett, and drummer Cody Anstey have been together since 2018.
Their latest album, Momentous (November 2022), reached new heights worldwide. Three of the four singles - "Dominion Day", "Beyond the Sun" and "Anunnaki" - were on the Spotify All New Metal playlist over four weeks. The single, "The Deafening", featuring Stu Block (Iced Earth, Annihilator, Into Eternity) and Percival Schuttenbach (The Witcher 3 OST) has also received praise from media and fans alike. Momentous has over 174,000 streams on Spotify alone to date. Osyron was also nominated for the 2023 Western Canadian Music Awards "Metal Band of the Year".
Osyron has shared the stage with renowned groups such as Nightwish, Insomnium, Evergrey, Dark Tranquillity, Kamelot, Dragonforce, Amorphis, Kreator, Destruction, Hypocrisy, and many more at their performance on 70,000 Tons of Metal.
Their metal version of "O Canada" was licensed for a Destination Canada ski video that was shown before all screenings of Warren Miller's 2021 movie "Winter Starts Now", and they received the prestigious FACTOR Canada "Juried Sound Recording" grant in 2021.
In summer 2023, Osyron played their first European festival at Rock Castle in Czechia alongside HammerFall, Amaranthe, U.D.O., Alestorm, Beast in Black, DORO, and more. Osyron brought their world-class sound on the road that same year touring North America over 16 dates supporting Seven Kingdoms.
In summer 2024, Osyron travelled back to Europe on a 6-date tour bookended by festivals where they shared the stage with Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia, and Accept at Masters of Rock in Czechia.
Osyron is deep in the process of writing and recording their next monster release, planning for completion in spring 2025.
Momentous deals with personal struggle; the many emotions, trials, personal battles, losses and victories we all faced as the human race during the years of 2020-2022. The biggest struggle we faced beyond the global pandemic and hysteria was the struggle we faced looking into ourselves. Many of us had to relearn to love one another, and many turned against one another.

Kingsbane is about a hero who must reluctantly take up arms against a tyrant king in a neighbouring land. Along the way, he faces many inward, and outward challenges he must overcome to achieve his goal.
Through it all, the hero learns a valuable lesson that even though they are duty-bound to stop this great evil, this great evil is also in the eye of the beholder. They discover that the weight of absolute power has the potential to corrupt absolutely – maybe not all villains are as one-dimensional as they seem from the outset.

Foundations is an exploration of Canadian history and identity. It speaks on the very foundations that Canada as a nation was built; the bloodshed, war, and assimilation of different ethnic groups (mostly First Nations) that cultivated into what we know as Canada today, as well as the very fabric that the complex, diverse culture of Canadians share.
It reflects on personal and societal stigmas, opinions and preconceptions about Canadian culture and history by delving into sensitive topics such as cultural genocide, racism and segregation. It touches on more communal elements of emotion such as loss, pain, hope, and perspective of faith.
